Pete Davidson has broken his silence over his saga with Kanye West.
During this week’s Netflix is a Joke festival in Los Angeles, Davidson tossed around zingers about his relationship with Kanye, including a January rumor that suggested Ye spread lies about Davidson having AIDS. Despite a Ye source previously calling the whole thing “nonsense,” Davidson still saw it as fair game to joke about, telling his audience that he “had an AIDS scare this year,” and that he went to the doctor for a check-in since Ye is a “genius,” per Variety.
Davidson also poked fun at Ye’s treatment of ex-wife Kim Kardashian, including the moment when Ye sent the mother of his four children a truck full of roses. Davidson compared the musician’s actions to those of Robin Williams in the 1993 film Mrs. Doubtfire, when he dressed up as a housekeeper to spend more time with his children.
“Am I the only one who secretly hopes Kanye will go full Mrs. Doubtfire?” Davidson joked.
Also in the set, Davidson touched on Jack Harlow being featured on the Donda 2 track “Louis Bags,” just months after hanging out with the comedian in January. It didn’t bother Davidson, but as he explained, something else would.
“It would hurt if I saw like, Bill Burr at Sunday Service,” Davidson joked.
West has previously accused the Kardashian family of not giving him the address to his daughter Chicago’s birthday party, before confirming he attended after sharing a video detailing the incident. West has also claimed Kardashian didn’t let their children attend Sunday Service in March, before Kardashian asked him on Instagram to “stop with this narrative.”
Davidson and Kardashian made their red carpet debut as a couple at the White House Correspondents Dinner on Saturday night. Check out coverage of the event, manned by Trevor Noah, here.
