A Wheel of Fortune contestant has missed out on the ultimate bonus round prize, and Pat Sajak had a bit of fun at her expense.
During Thursday’s episode, Shalocmont had to reveal her $100,000 prize miss to America while Pat, 77, quipped, “I wanted you to at least hold it.”
The avid Wheel of Fortune watcher from Richmond, California, faced off against drummer Jacqueline and Joey, a “single dog dad.”
After some clever solves, Shalocmont emerged with the highest score of $25,750, earning her a spot in the bonus round puzzle.
She chose the dreaded “Phrase” category and was cheered on by her partner Dion and daughter.
Opting for “MDCA” in addition to the provided RSTLNE, the three-word puzzle read: “I_S ‘_E _ _ND’ ‘ME.’”

As the ten-second countdown began, Shalocmont made various guesses, such as “It’s Been Me, It’s Pulling Me, It’s Winding Me, Being Me Winding Me.”
“Ironically…” Pat interjected as the timer ran out, revealing the puzzle to be “It’s Beyond Me.”
Pat glanced at the prize card and quickly closed it, saying, “You know the important thing…”
“No!” Shalamont exclaimed anxiously.

Pat handed her the prize card, and as the audience fell silent, he encouraged her, “Yeah, you wanna show ’em?”
Shalocmont reluctantly opened the prize card, presenting the whopping $100,000.
“I wanted you to at least hold it,” Pat bluntly explained.
Despite some boos from the audience, Pat added, “Before you ‘Oh’ too much, she won $25,750.”
Of course, this was nothing compared to Tuesday’s bonus round miss heard around the world, with many fans claiming Megan was “robbed” and said the bonus puzzle correctly.
Megan went on GMA to respond to the “Pink Orchid” controversy and let the world know she did not, in fact, say “Pink Orchid.”
