Nia Sharma in Workout Gear Goes Cycling With Shalin Bhanot

Nia Sharma is getting in an outdoor workout on her bike. In a new social media post the actress and Shalin Bhanot go cycling outdoors, showing off their fit figures in exercise clothes. “It’s difficult to leave bed at 6:30 am… But once you do… there’s so muchhhhhhhhhh one can do😅😎 ” she captioned the Instagram post. How does the actress keep herself in such amazing shape? Here is everything she does.

Nia enjoys pole dancing. “It’s such a Fancy being on a pole … except the body ache it brings along😅 … @lipsa893 you gotta make me a pro..and thanks a lot for this fun session. I am your no.1 student always:)” she captioned this post. Pole dancing, like other forms of the expressive exercise, helps build strength and promote flexibility, and also aids in weight loss and promotes heart health. A 2016 study published in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine determined that people who engaged in moderate-intensity dancing were 46 percent less likely to develop heart disease or die from it than non-dancers. In comparison, moderate-intensity walkers were just 25 percent less likely to suffer heart health issues.

Nia is a yogi and regularly shows off her moves on Instagram. According to a Harvard Health study people who practice yoga for at least 30 minutes once a week for at least four years, gain less weight during middle adulthood. “People who were overweight actually lost weight. Overall, those who practiced yoga had lower body mass indexes (BMIs) compared with those who did not practice yoga. Researchers attributed this to mindfulness. Mindful eating can lead to a more positive relationship with food and eating.”

Nia loves to hike. “Trekked Right up to the Peak.. (without a 🚁) #chandrashila #tungnathtrek,” she captioned a series of Instagram photos and videos. According to the National Parks Service, the physical benefits of hiking include:

  • Building stronger muscles and bones
  • Improving your sense of balance
  • Improving your heart health
  • Decreasing the risk of certain respiratory problems

“Wasn’t the one to ever enter a gym but once you do, it kind of sucks you in,” Nia captioned a post of herself weightlifting. According to the Mayo Clinic, strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently. Strength training may also help you:

  • Develop strong bones
  • Manage your weight
  • Enhance your quality of life
  • Manage chronic conditions
  • Sharpen your thinking skills

Nia indulges in self-care by taking baths, which have been linked to better sleep and even found helpful to minimize anxiety and depression. One recent study even found that they may even boast cardiovascular benefits.

In her recent post, Nia goes for a bike ride. The Cleveland Clinic explains that biking, a low-impact aerobic exercise, is great for building muscle, improving strength and flexibility, and improving balance. It can also boost mental health and help other health conditions, including arthritis.
