Hulu’s promotional material for the King of the Hill reboot has mostly left fans either confused or horny. But thanks to some Reddit sleuths, we may finally have a better idea of what’s to come in the series’ upcoming 14th season.
After finding a slew of newly-listed episode descriptions on Google, a fan headed over to the King of the Hill subreddit with their findings. It remains unclear whether these descriptions are legit or as nonsensical as trying to talk to Boomhauer, but the blurbs paint a picture of the Hill family jumping headfirst into modern life.
For instance, in “Chore Money, Chore Problems,” Hank purportedly puts his impressive repair skills to use on “an app for handymen,” and a now-grown-up chef Bobby allegedly faces cultural appropriation accusations in “Bobby Gets Grilled.”
Don’t Miss
The synopses certainly excited the denizens of the KOTH subreddit. “Peggy doing one of those little lending libraries is such a Peggy thing,” wrote one fan, referencing the rumored plot of “Any Given Hill-Day,” while another touted the revival as a whole. “Hope these are real. (They) all sound promising.”
Again, none of this information has been confirmed. Google cites Wikipedia as the source for some of these entries, despite none of them appearing on the season’s page. Still, the hype may not be for nothing. Several installments, including “Any Given Hill-Day” and “A Sounder Investment,” not only line up with those on Wikipedia and IMDb, but they’re also a match for the episode titles we obtained back in December from the Writers Guild of America website.
And so, they seem a lot more likely to be the real deal than some sort of Dale Gribble conspiracy theory.
