My boyfriend spent £50k on me – trolls say I have no class and don’t deserve a Birkin because I can’t say Hermes

Influencer Sophia had a very special birthday this year, thanks to her generous boyfriend

WE all want to be spoiled on our birthday, especially if it is our loved ones who are splashing out.

One influencer has come under fire though after receiving £50,000 worth of designer accessories, but has been trolled for how she pronounced Hermes.

Shopping hauls are not a new thing, but they’ve become increasingly lavish in recent years.

Fashion hauls from the high street have been replaced with influencers now spending staggering sums on designer brands like Chanel, Dior and Louis Vuitton.

This includes content creator Sophia Clayton-Spinola was treated to a very special shopping spree in luxury store Hermes – worth over £50,000.

Whilst most of us would spend that amount on a house deposit, the lucky birthday girl received nine of the iconic orange boxes containing jewellery, shoes and of course, the highly sort after Birkin.

Good things come in small packages, so Sophia started by unboxing the smallest item first – a delicate necklace with an ‘H’ costing over £395.

Though this would have been a big treat for most people, she also received three stunning pairs of shoes including: black knee-high leather boots (£2,300), tan suede loafers (£1,120) and the classic Oran sandals in pink (£610).

Of course, the fashionista needed accessories to match her new shoes, with a silk scarf (£450), a brown cap (£430) and the Kelly belt – with a lock clasp (£950).

Despite her wish list already totalling £6255, the Tiktok star was later treated to a Hermes skirt and jacket set (£4000) and even, a Birkin bag.

Whilst the luxury brand doesn’t list the price of the bag, even a second hand version of the sort after hand bag will cost between £30,000-£40,000.

After sharing an unboxing video and clips of her in-store experience, it was long before trolls began to target the influencer in the comments.

Many lashed out at Sophia’s extravagant new wardrobe with one commentator criticising the influencer for buying into the high-end brand.

“It’s crazy that it is just stuff to you, but that amount of money could help so many people in a significant way,” they wrote.

However, others were more concerned about how the content creator pronounced the luxury brand name with many correcting her in the comments.

“If you don’t know how to pronounce Hermes you don’t deserve to own Hermes,” complained another, with a third adding: “Anyone with class would know how to pronounce Hermes.”

One cruel user even wrote: “You know you’re not worthy of Hermes if you can’t pronounce it”

Most of her 24,000 followers were in awe of the haul though and were eager to find a similarly generous partner.

“Where do I find a man that does Hermes hauls for birthdays? Asking for a friend,” a fan cheekily joked, with Sophia urging her not to ‘settle for less’.

Hitting back at the haters,  another said: “[A] young woman just loving her best life, with something straight out of a romance novel and people are hating! Enjoy your fairytale and Happy Birthday.”

Whilst we might feel slightly jealous of her haul, we can’t deny that we’d speaking about all day long too.
