MODERN Family star Jesse Tyler Ferguson has looked barely recognizable in a new photo of him without a beard.
The actor — who usually sports a thick red beard — revealed his clean-shaven face in a new photo on Instagram.

In the up-close selfie, Jesse, 48, stared directly at the camera, showing off his completely bare chin.
He wore black-framed glasses as the TV star softly smiled at the camera.
“Deal with it,” Jesse wrote in his caption, seemingly addressing his drastic makeover.
Fans were shocked to see Jesse without his infamous red beard, which he had throughout much of his 11-year run on Modern Family.

“No I won’t deal with it,” one person said in the comments.
“Almost unfollowed thinking ‘who is this and why am i following this guy?'” admitted another.
“You look 20 years younger,” noted a third, while a fourth remarked, “Absolutely crazy how different you look!”
Jesse portrayed Mitchell Pritchett on Modern Family from its premiere in 2009 to its end in 2020.
In May, Jesse sparked rumors that the sitcom was getting a reboot after he posted an Instagram photo of himself on set.
He captured the hallway of his character’s home, which was the backdrop for many scenes on the show.
Mitchell lived at the home with his husband, Cameron, played by Eric Stonestreet, and their daughter, Lily Tucker-Pritchett (Aubrey Anderson-Emmons).
Jesse didn’t explain why he’d returned to the set, and fans immediately suspected he could be reprising his role.
He stayed tight-lipped when asked about the post during an appearance on The Talk shortly after.
“It’s something I can’t really talk about. Isn’t that annoying?” the Broadway star teased. “I know. I was on the set with some of my cast mates. It’s not a reboot… Is it a movie? I don’t know.”

Months earlier, Jesse took another trip to his Modern Family past when he reunited with his costar Julie Bowen and his on-screen daughter, Aubrey.
The Ice Age star shared a snap of the trio standing outside Aubrey’s school, where she performed in a play.
Jesse and Julie supported their former castmate and again sent the internet into a frenzy with the sweet reunion.
Around the same time, almost the entire cast gathered at a party at Sofia Vergara‘s Los Angeles mansion.
Ty Burrell, who played Phi Dunphy, was the only one missing from the bash.
He later appeared in a WhatsApp commercial with Jesse, Julie, and Eric, bringing the foursome back together again.
