Taylor McGregor is a professional sports reporter. She is known for her coverage of the Colorado Rockies. In July, McGregor shared some of her summer highlights on Instagram. In them, she is seen hiking, biking, and enjoying a concert. She captioned the post, “WYO.”
She Hikes
In her Instagram post, McGregor is seen on a hike. She also shared this photo of herself and a friend hiking in the San Juan Mountains. McGregor captioned it, “Is this heaven? Nahhh, it’s Colorado 😉” According to Harvard Health, hiking has a lot of health benefits. “Like brisk walking, hiking is a good way to improve your cardiovascular fitness, particularly if your route includes some hills, which will force your heart to work harder. Taking a hike on the slightly uneven surface of a trail also provides a natural way to engage the core muscles in your torso and to hone your balance skills.”
She Goes On Bike Rides
McGregor is also seen on a bike ride in her Instagram post. She also shared this photo of herself and her friends after a charity ride. McGregor captioned the post, “Such a fun weekend biking to end MS. 2 days + 180 miles ✅ 👊🏻” A Healthier Michigan states that biking has a lot of health benefits. “All that work your body is doing by pedaling and balancing not only works muscles in your arms and core, but it counts as serious cardio exercise and burns calories with every spin of the wheels. By biking at a moderate pace, about 12 or 13 miles per hour, a person weighing 155 pounds burns nearly 300 calories in 30 minutes, according to statistics shared by Harvard University. Like to pedal faster? A person of that same weight doing a fast pace of 14 or 15 miles per hour burns more than 370 calories in 30 minutes.”
She Skis
McGregor enjoys going skiing to keep herself in shape. She is seen on the slopes in this Instagram reel. The University of Rochester states that skiing has a lot of health benefits. “Skiing and snowboarding are thrilling activities and great workouts. Both sports are excellent cardiovascular exercises that strengthen the heart. They are also weight-bearing exercises. So they strengthen your bones as they tone your muscles.”
She Paddleboards
McGregor likes to go stand up paddleboarding to keep herself in shape. She shared this photo on Instagram of herself and some friends going paddleboarding on the Arkansas River. ACE Fitness states that stand up paddleboarding has a lot of benefits. “As an American Council on Exercise-sponsored study revealed, SUP offers numerous physical benefits, from challenging your balance to engaging your core to upping your endurance and cardiovascular health, depending on the level of exertion and difficulty of the SUP experience.”
She Goes After Her Dreams
McGregor is all about going after her dreams. She tells The Denver Post that this was something she got from her late father. “That was my dad, the dreamer. I think I’m like that, too. I hope so. He would have a dream and a vision for something and be able to figure how it was all going to come together. He was never too scared to dream big. I know that sounds like a cliché, but it’s so true.”
