ACTRESS Melissa McCarthy has shown off her slimmer figure at a gala event in Los Angeles.
Ahead of her new comedy streaming on Netflix, the Unfrosted star attended the annual gala from Center Theatre Group.
On Sunday night, Melissa McCarthy, 51, honored renowned director/choreographer Sir Matthew Bourne, 64.

Proceeds from the annual fundraiser will help “the theatre company further its mission to serve the diverse audiences of Los Angeles.”
The fundraiser included a performance from singer Lea Salonga, and the New Adventures stars Jackson Fisch and Rory Macleod performing an excerpt from Matthew’s Swan Lake.
At the red carpet event, Melissa donned a form-fitting navy dress with a ruffled skirt.
Her full-length skirt extended to her feet and nearly touched the floor.
The comedian carried a rainbow handbag and dressed in a matching blazer.
The Mike & Molly alum posed for the cameras with Hairspray director Adam Shankman, 59, who wore a pink suit.
She strutted across the floor in matching high-heeled boots.
Her long hair curled past her shoulders and onto her blazer.
‘STOP WORRYING’
Since March, the Bridesmaids star displayed her weight loss transformation in Instagram videos and photos.
She has reportedly lost around 75 pounds.
In a revealing interview with CBS This Morning, Melissa opened up about how she shed the pounds.
About eight years ago, she admitted to shifting her mental attitude and changing her lifestyle.
“I finally said to myself, ‘Oh for God’s sake, stop worrying about it, and it may be the best thing I’ve ever done,” Melissa shared.

“I truly stopped worrying about my weight.”
“I stopped over-analyzing, over-thinking, over-doing anything…I just stopped constantly being worried about it,” she added.
“And I think there’s something to kinda loosening up and not being so nervous and rigid about it that, bizarrely, has worked,” Melissa closed.

Next month, The TV star will show off her thinner frame in Jerry Seinfeld’s new movie, Unfrosted: The Pop-Tart Story.
In the Seinfeld actor’s directorial debut, the origin story of Pop-Tarts follows how Kellogg’s and Post battled to create a breakfast staple in 1963.
Melissa joins the star-studded ensemble cast that includes: James Marsden, 48, Hugh Grant, 61, and Amy Schumer, 41.
The comic is married to her husband Ben Falcone, 50.
