Maria Georgas in Two-Piece Workout Gear is "In Love"

Maria Georgas is a contestant on this season of The Bachelor. She’s become one of the season’s breakout stars, with rumors spreading that she is being considered for the lead of  next season of The Bachelorette. She recently shared some highlights from the show in Jasper National Park. In it, Georgas is seen walking by the mountains and chopping wood. She captioned the post, “I did it in the Maria way. With love.” How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Maria Georgas stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.

In her recent post, Georgas is seen on a walk. Harvard Health states that walking has a lot of benefits. “Harvard researchers looked at 32 obesity-promoting genes in over 12,000 people to determine how much these genes actually contribute to body weight. Among the study participants who walked briskly for about an hour a day, the effects of those genes were cut in half…A pair of studies from the University of Exeter found that a 15-minute walk can curb cravings for chocolate and even reduce the amount of chocolate you eat in stressful situations. And the latest research confirms that walking can reduce cravings and intake of a variety of sugary snacks.”

Georgas likes to swim to stay in shape. She shares a lot of posts on Instagram of herself in the water. Harvard Health states that swimming has a lot of benefits. “When in the water, your joints experience less impact, making the pool a welcoming environment for anyone with arthritis or joint injuries. Squats that may aggravate arthritic knees on land are often doable in water. The resistance of the water also slows down movements that can be quick and jerky on land, creating more smoothly flowing motions that are less likely to aggravate injuries.”

Georgas likes to rollerblade to stay in shape. Goodnet.org states that skating has a lot of benefits. “Pushing off and gliding are both activities that engage your lower body, working out your hamstrings, calves, quads, and glutes. When you skate, you also swing and move your arms, using your upper body to propel yourself forward. And, as you shift your weight from side to side, your hips also get a workout.”

After getting in a fight with another contestant on the show, Georgas made sure to take accountability for her actions on TikTok. “Nobody’s perfect, including myself, and I just think that s— happens sometimes and people deal with things differently,” she said. “I can’t understand or explain or defend everyone’s actions and doings in the house, but I’m responsible for myself and I think that I could’ve done things better. I’ll leave it at that.”

Georgas is very open with her feelings. She talked about this and how she connected with Bachelor, Joey Graziadei, in an interview. “I keep seeing posts about how I brought Joey’s personality out in him, but the truth is, he brought it out in me. It’s nice to feel comfortable enough to share your feelings with someone. He’s so much fun to be around and he’s full of the same humor as I am, so it was easy.”
