When it comes to meals, Morris likes to cook a lot of her own. She says on the I’m Listening podcast that she picked this habit up during the pandemic. “My husband and I have been cooking a lot, which started in quarantine but has carried over and I love it,” she says. “I used to only be able to make a fried egg and now, I truly do love being in the kitchen and I love chopping vegetables. Just the routine of it is kind of meditative for me.”
Morris makes sure to take time away from social media. “I think we are social creatures, but not to the extent that social media addicts us to and asks us to be attached to,” she said on the I’m Listening podcast. “Social media breaks are a big one for me. Not aimlessly scrolling for hours. Kind of monitoring my screen time when I can.”
Morris is comfortable with her body. Her trainer, Erin Opera, says that the singer isn’t focused on losing weight, rather on staying in shape. “She’s happy and she feels good,” Opera told E! News. “She’s ready to rock. She doesn’t have a set goal of losing weight. She’s in a good spot.”
Opera revealed some of Morris’ exercises to E! News. She says that she encourages the singer to play sports for some cardio, and she has found one sport in particular. “She has been playing tennis. I encourage clients to do their cardio outside of me. Sports are always the best way because when you’re chasing a ball, you’re not thinking about cardio.
Opera likes to do leg workouts with Morris. She tells E! News that the singer does sumo squats, and Opera has a fun process for her. “We’ve been playing a fun sumo squat game that I love. It is a sumo squat and you do 10 tiny jumps staying low. You hold for 10 seconds in the down position. Then you do nine tiny downs and you hold low for 10 seconds. Then you do eight jumps and hold low for 10 seconds.”
