The Louisiana House of Representatives recently passed a bill to ban “chemtrails.” Not only that, the bill passed by a large margin, 58 votes to 32.
Much like Bigfoot, the Loch Ness Monster, and other myths, chemtrails are something that only exists in the minds of those who want to believe.
Unlike Bigfoot, the Loch Ness Monster, and other myths, politicians usually don’t create laws to ban them.
Such is not the case in the state of Louisiana, however. That’s because late last week, Louisiana lawmakers spent the government’s time and money to pass Senate Bill 46 in the State House. The bill, which aims to prevent agencies from using chemtrails to conduct weather modification experiments, now moves on to the Senate where they too will spend the government’s time and money to decide whether or not to make it a state law.
Former Sopranos actress Drea de Matteo and Bryan Harsin’s wife will be very happy.
“This bill is to prevent any chemicals above us in the air, specifically to modify the weather,” said Republican State Representative Kimberly Landy Coates.
Fox 8 News reports that during deliberations Coates was asked by another State Representative, “Other than the nanoparticles of aluminum, what else have you found?” Her response? “Barium. There is a few, some with long words that I can’t pronounce,” she replied.
Coates also claimed the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) sends chemicals into clouds to alter the weather. The NOAA says it does not, and it has no plans to do so. She also said there were “at least nine federal agencies” that have agreements with “groups” and “contractors” to perform similar experiments using chemtrails. So, basically, she is saying the Louisiana government wants to pass a bill to stop the U.S. government from doing something that doesn’t actually exist.
When asked if she has personally seen these chemtrails in the sky, Coates replied that she sees them at least once a week. “From my house all the way to the Capitol. So when you look up in the air, you look, watch for the big white lines across the sky,” she said.
Those big white lines are known as contrails. Contrails, or condensation trails or vapor trails, are composed primarily of water, in the form of ice crystals. They are produced by changes in air pressure on the surface of an airplane’s wings or by engine exhaust.
Chemtrails are a conspiracy theory that has no evidence to support it and has been debunked innumerable times, but is still being promoted as a real thing that exists by none other than the United States Secretary of Health and Human Services, Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
