It’s official. Logan Paul has secured the biggest wrestling match of his budding career.
On Saturday, the WWE confirmed the YouTuber-turned-pro-wrestler will take on Roman Reigns at Crown Jewel 2022. WWE Hall of Famer and COO Paul “Triple H” Levesque announced the news during a press conference in Las Vegas, just a day after Logan challenged Reigns on SmackDown.
“It will be a match like no other. It will be a spectacle like no other,” Triple H said about the title match. “Logan Paul is a cultural phenomenon. He has more than 100 million social media followers. According to him and his crew, he has the biggest podcast in the world. When it comes to the WWE, his dedication, his passion for this, I can tell you this. Everything that he has done in the small time with us, he has my respect, and I don’t give that easily.”
Reigns, who is now the longest-reigning WWE Universal Champion in history, came face-to-face with Paul at Saturday’s press conference. During the event, Reigns acknowledged Logan’s large following and the waves he’s created in his relatively young career; however, he warned the 27-year-old he would not hold back once they stepped into the ring.
“You need to crawl before you walk, and walk before you run,” he said.“When we get to Saudi Arabia, we’re going to smash you … You are in the water with the biggest shark to ever live in WWE.”
Paul inked a deal with the WWE in June, shortly after he appeared at WrestleMania 38. He won his first singles match back in July, defeating former heavyweight champion The Miz at SummerSlam. Crown Jewel, which will mark Paul’s third pro wrestling match, will go down Nov. 5 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
