“The next chapter for Bleak Soul is definitely going to surprise people”

Not long after the release of their album ‘Shouting With Nothing To Say’, Bleak Soul are back with another new track.

And it’s a dark one.

It’s called ‘The Ringleader’ and deals out pitch black atmospheres, poetic damning refrains and plenty of drama and delirium.

It’s another notch in the Bleak Soul belt, and one that shows that anything is truly possible with his project.

Ben Langford-Biss had this to say about it:

“The Ringleader is a song about feeling hopeless in this current political climate.

After making a super quiet introspective record I naturally turned my gaze outward, and in typical me fashion wanted to write louder songs again. Since Bleak Soul has become a band and more than just me, and that we’re playing live a lot more, I definitely started writing more with the live show in mind. I think anyone that feels disillusioned with the world will find comfort in this song. It’s also a song I feel like anyone who misses what I was writing and doing during The Great Depression era of As It Is will hopefully enjoy. It’s been a while since I’ve written darker, heavier songs like this but anger became the primary inspiration as opposed to sadness and the next chapter for Bleak Soul is definitely going to surprise people.”

Here it is:

And to get you a little bit caught up, here’s ‘Mundane, USA’ from ‘Shouting With Nothing To Say’:
