Last week, the Blue Note Jazz Festival continued with four sold-out nights featuring headliners and funk maestros Lettuce–comprised of Adam Deitch (drums), Ryan Zoidis (saxophone), Adam Smirnoff (guitar), Erick Coomes (bass), Nigel Hall (keyboards/vocals) and Eric ‘Benny’ Bloom (trumpet). The multi-night stand picked up on Thursday, June 8, and spanned until Sunday, June 11, officially marking the end of their jubilant Big Apple stand.

High points of the residency included the band’s Friday, June 9 collaborations with guests Grand Puba & Lord Jamar of Brand Nubian. The synergistic nature of Friday night’s display lingered into Lettuce’s Saturday night sets. The billed list of performers welcomed another friend, guitarist Mike Sterns, to the stage.
