FaZe Lacy has responded to the backlash that he received after posting an AI-generated picture of himself with NFL star Tyreek Hill.

On June 14, 2025, FaZe Lacy posted a picture of himself alongside Tyreek Hill on X as a way to advertise his upcoming stream collab with the NFL star.

Users quickly realized the picture was likely AI-generated and began calling him out for not hiring an artist to make the picture, despite being one of the top streamers on Twitch.

“You’re a millionaire, bro why not just put the money into getting real flyer artists rather than using AI slop,” one user commented.

Another said: “Stop the AI slop.”

Lacy defends using AI to generate a stream poster

While broadcasting on Twitch, Lacy responded to he backlash he was receiving over using AI to generate the picture.

“Buddy, listen,” he said. “All the people out there that are b*tching and complaining about people using AI, listen. I’m gonna keep it real. This poster looks great, and AI made it. Guess what, it got made in less than 30 seconds. It was free. I didn’t have to pay someone $150 and wait a day and a half to get a f**kin poster made when I just asked AI to do it, bro.

“If this is AI slop, then that’s great, but listen. I’m going to use AI. This sh*t is easy. It’s a lot easier. Is it lazy? Yes. I got told about the Tyreek Hill stream an hour before, I don’t have time to wait.”

This comes just days after Lacy revealed why he decided to multi-stream across Twitch and Kick alongside several other FaZe Clan members.

“Yeah, I’m multistreaming on Kick for an extra 100 bands a month, who wouldn’t? Yeah, I’ll admit it, I’m doing it for the bag,” he said.
