Kim Kardashian Shares Behind-the-Scene of North's 'Lion King'

Kim Kardashian gives off proud mama vibes by sharing a behind-the-scenes look at her 10-year-old daughter North West’s performance as Young Simba in Disney’s The Lion King live concert at Los Angeles’ The Hollywood Bowl. 

While sitting in the audience with her daughter Chicago, Kardashian sang along to the performance of Can You Feel the Love Tonight? “I was feeling it,” she wrote tagging The Lion King.

Kim Kardashian also shared a photo of North helping to do Chicago’s hair in what appears to be the backstage area. “Never too busy to help her sister with her edges,” Kardashian captioned the pic. 

Kardashian went on to post a picture of North in her Young Simba costume backstage. Another photo she posted featured North with Zazu as well as her with Jason Weaver, who sang as Young Simba in the 1994 animated film. Weaver also made an appearance in the live concert.

North was announced to join The Lion King 30th Anniversary – A Live-to-Film Concert Event earlier this month. Among the others who appeared in the event are Jennifer Hudson, Heather Headley, and Lebo M.

The Lion King franchise’s vets  Billy Eichner, Bradley Gibson, Ernie Sabella, Weaver, Jeremy Irons, and Nathan Lane also appeared at the live event. 

The two-day live event will be airing on Disney+ soon. Kim Kardashian shares North and Chicago as well as sons Saint and Psalm with ex-husband Kanye West.

Sources Praise Kim Kardashian’s Daughter North for Her ‘The Lion King’ Performance

Sources who attended The Lion King performance praised Kim Kardashian’s daughter North for her performance. 

“She smiled and seemed nervous yet confident,” the insiders told Us Weekly. “She definitely seemed to be having fun and trying her best.”

The sources also said that North “never forgot the words” and “danced all around the stage.” 

“[She] looked really happy [and was] always smiling,” the insiders continued. They went on to say that Kanye West was present and was excited for North’s show. 

“Kanye Whipped out his phone to film as soon as she began,” the sources shared. “Kanye filmed the whole time and gave North a standing ovation. She was absolutely adorable and you can tell she will be a good singer. She has a good voice.”

They then added that North danced and moved across the stage. “[She] had good rhythm.” 

“North waved and clapped along with the others, She was so cute, waving and smiling to those in the crowd as she exited the stage. She looked like she didn’t want the night to end!”
