JON Cryer has been called out by fans for making an embarrassing mistake in a video to Kelly Clarkson.
The actor tried to be helpful as he gave the talk show host a suggestion in the clip, but fans pointed out his error.
In a video posted to The Kelly Clarkson Show’s Instagram on Saturday, a series of guests were asked to share their favorite songs right now.
“New Year, new playlist adds! Checkout what our guests are listening to this week,” the caption read
Lily James suggested The Chemical Brothers’ Go, while Charles Melton listed Radiohead’s Everything in its Right Place.
Natalie Portman offered SZA’s Kill Bill, Christopher Briney said Elliott Smith’s Sweet Adeline, and Joe Keery recommended Supertramp’s Breakfast in America.

Like Charles, Jon Cryer also suggested a Radiohead song, though his suggestion was Fake Plastic Trees.
In explanation, the actor said he loved the song “because it’s one of the most gorgeous melodies I’ve ever heard.”
He then told Kelly, “And hearing you sing it would be amazing. Just saying.”
Fans in the comments called out Jon for clearly not realizing that Kelly had already covered the song.

She not only sang it on her talk show in late 2021, but she also released an official cover on her Kellyoke EP.
“People are missing out. Kelly literally recorded a cover of Fake Plastic Trees,” one annoyed fan wrote.
“Jon is in for a surprise if he wants her to cover that song lol,” a second Instagram user teased.
“Um, she already did that one, Jon,” a third pointed out.
“Who wants to tell Jon Cryer?” Another joked.
