American Idol judge Katy Perry caused a stir in a sassy mesh dress at the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards in LA on Monday.
The singer donned a black mesh dress featuring two high-side slits adorned with red velvet bows. Perry, the presenter of the Song of the Year award, added a sultry touch of mystery to her outfit with black undergarments and fierce black leather over-the-knee stiletto boots. The “Harleys in Hawaii” songstress styled her hair with carefree curls and also donned sleek black shades.
Perry has previously won several iHeartRadio Music Awards. In 2023, she clinched the favorite residency award for her series of concerts called Play held in Las Vegas.
Of course, this isn’t the first time in recent months the 39-year-old TV personality pushed the envelope on the red carpet. Katy Perry’s mesh dress look follows her controversial outfit at the 2024 Billboard Women in Music Awards, where she wore a corset and lace-up skirt that revealed a thong.
The veteran singer has a strong tie to the fashion industry. Besides owning Katy Perry Collections, she has appeared in ads for H&M, Moschino, Gap, and more.

Dance Moms alum JoJo Siwa also embraced the dark side in a fierce catsuit with fishnet and sheer panels. Meanwhile, Jared Leto rocked an all-black ensemble, complete with a sheer top under a blazer.
Since 2014, the iHeartRadio Music Awards have been a platform to celebrate remarkable achievements in music. The event recognizes the most-played artists and songs on iHeartRadio stations and the iHeartRadio app. The 2024 awards ceremony featured notable figures like Beyoncé, who was honored with the Innovator Award.
Meanwhile, Cher was honored with the 2024 Icon Award. With over 100 million records sold in her career, she stands as the sole artist to have achieved a No. 1 single on a Billboard chart for seven continuous decades.
