Las Vegas Aces rookie Kate Martin set the internet on fire with what seemed to be a hard launch of her (new?) girlfriend on Instagram. Everybody, even beyond the WNBA space, wanted to know who she is and if they are truly together.

It appears as though the relationship is confirmed!

Martin, who initially attended the WNBA Draft to support Caitlin Clark, was drafted by Las Vegas in the second round. Not only did she make the roster, she is averaging 17.2 minutes per game for the back-to-back reigning champions. Her teammates absolutely love her. As do the fans.

The 24-year-old rookie is skyrocketing up the charts for All-Star voting and on pace to make the game.

Even though Martin is honored by the support, she remains very humble. All of the voting actually makes her a little bit embarrassed!

Martin’s fanbase continues to grow, but her biggest supporter (other than family and maybe Clark) is her girlfriend.

Claire Gransee posted a photo with Martin over the weekend. Their pose was rather cozy. Martin responded with a not-so-subtle emoji that sparked a lot of speculation.

Who is the mystery woman? Is she Martin’s girlfriend?

Gransee, from what we know, graduated from Iowa in May with an impressive 3.94 GPA. She currently resides in Boston— hence the “coast switch,” as Martin traveled east from Nevada.

It was not clear at first whether the heart face indicated a romantic relationship but one could assume.

All of the signs pointed toward yet. Social media completely melted down. Men and women alike were/are jealous of Gransee.

Martin appeared to confirm her relationship with a comment from her official account in response to the above TikTok video.

She is gorgeous, stunning & perfect, I can’t lie

Obviously, Kate Martin could also say those things about Claire Gransee a platonic friend. The truth is the truth, regardless of who they are to each other. But… let’s be real!
