Controversial rapper Kanye West may have caused more problems for himself with his recent apology to Jews.

However, shortly after West posted his message, fans began accusing him of using the popular AI tool ChatGPT to write his apology.

West can not seem to escape scandal as his latest efforts to make amends with the Jewish community have been controversial due to his allegedly AI-generated apology message.

On December 26, West shocked fans when he returned to the social media platform Instagram to issue an apology to Jews in Hebrew, claiming he was sorry for his past actions and that he didn’t intend to “hurt” anyone.

The message read, “I sincerely apologize to the Jewish community for any ‘unintended outburst.’ I did not intend to hurt or demean, and I deeply regret any pain I may have caused. I am committed to starting with myself and learning from this experience to ensure greater sensitivity and understanding in the future. Your forgiveness is important to me, and I am committed to making amends and promoting unity.”

Although the rapper’s apology appeared genuine at first, it quickly got called into question after fans used a detector to test if it was AI-generated. Netizens put the message into an AI content detector, and the results showed that the rapper’s apology may have been the words of ChatGPT.

Other users shared photos of a prompt that allegedly produced the exact message West posted on his Instagram page. An X user told Chat GPT, “I’ve publicly endorsed Hitler and made anti-Semitic comments. Can you write a public apology for me?”

It is worth noting that ChatGPT is not known to duplicate an answer, which means photos of the apology being replicated by the AI are likely photoshopped.

Fans Slam Kanye West For Alleged AI Apology

Fans on social media are now slamming West for being insincere amid the Chat GPT apology speculations.

A person said, “Kanye West using ChatGPT to apologize is one of most Kanye-like things I have ever seen I knew that apologize seemed fake lmao.”

Another fan wrote, “Kanye West used ChatGPT in his apology to Jewish people he a master troll.”

I have a theory he wrote a ChatGPT apology on purpose because he doesn’t mean it,” said a third netizen.

F— Kanye West, and his b—— apology to the Jewish community. He’s only saying that because he’s got a new album coming out. He’s an antisemite. F— him. Full stop,” an angry user stated.

West’s apology to the Jewish community comes after he was slammed for dancing to an allegedly anti-Semitic song. The rapper and his wife, Bianca Censori, were in the Middle East together, as seen in a viral video of West dancing to “Vulture” with Chris Brown, Bump J, Ty Dolla $ign and others.

The song, which is set to appear on his next studio album of the same name, was called out online due to the vulgar language used in reference to a Jewish woman. The rapper sings about sleeping with a “Jewish b—-” and then asks how he could be “anti-Semitic.”

West was also criticized for the song due to the current period and the sensitive nature of things for Jews, as there’s been a rise in anti-Semitic attacks since the start of the Israel-Hamas conflict. According to the organization, Anti-Defamation League, the rate of anti-Semitic incidents has quadrupled since the October 7 Hamas attack.
