Kanye West Accuses Adidas Of ‘Raping’ Him By Selling ‘Fake’ Yeezys

Kanye West Sued For Allegedly Punching 'Fan' Asking For An Autograph

Controversial rapper and Yeezy founder Kanye West has a bone to pick with shoe giant and former partner Adidas.

West took to his social media page to accuse Adidas of selling “fake” shoes with his name on them and said the company was also suing him for $250 million.

The rapper also took the opportunity to ask his fans for help by telling his followers not to patronize the shoe brand if they “love” him.

On his Instagram page, the “All of The Lights” hitmaker slammed the shoe brand for using their business experience and contract clauses to “rape an artist.”

He alleged that Adidas was selling fake Yeezys, refusing to pay him, and, on top of all that, also suing him for a hefty sum.

Obviously, using the word “rape” to describe a business or financial dispute might not be the right way to address the issue.

“Anybody who loves Ye would not buy these fake Yeezys I never made these color ways I’m not getting paid off of them and Adidas is suing me,” West wrote. “All these celebrities and the public will stand against a T-shirt or the color of my hat but when yall see me have my children hidden from me or see an actual Fortune 500 company rape one of your heroes in real life don’t nobody say nothing or do nothing.”

The rapper continued, “As far as the system goes What yall gone do now Take my album down again Freeze my accounts again Threaten people to not work with me again All the new non-approved 350’s are cooorny.”

Kanye West Says Adidas Is Suing Him For $250 Million

West shared a video in another post where he divulged that Adidas was suing him for $250 million.

He said, “Let me explain really clear to you guys what’s happening with Adidas. Not only are they putting out fake color ways that are not approved, they are suing me for $250 million, and they are also not paying me for these shoes that they are putting out, that have my name on it.”

West added, “And they are using contract clauses and 50 years of business experience to rape an artist. One of y’all favorite artist, right in front of y’all in broad day light.”

While it’s unclear how bad things really are between West and Adidas, the rapper and the shoe brand’s relationship notably fell apart after he made a series of anti-Semitic comments in 2022.

Adidas was under severe pressure to cut ties with West at the time, but the brand initially refused. However, after West claimed that he could “say anti-Semitic s—” and Adidas would not be able to do anything, the brand swiftly dropped him.
