AMP star Kai Cenat gave Jaryd ‘summit1g’ Lazar a shoutout during his Jimmy Fallon interview and the Twitch OG couldn’t quite believe it.
Kai Cenat has well and truly blown up as Twitch’s biggest streamer over the last few years. He’s had multiple celebrities hop on his stream, he’s broken the record for most active subscribers twice, and he’s just taken the production of things to another level with his NBA and Batman streams.
The AMP star has jumped into the mainstream too, being involved in a State Farm commercial and having the chance to speak to Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show.
During that chat, Kai was quizzed on why he became a streamer and how he managed to pull off some of his massive Mafiathon broadcasts.
Kai shoutouts Summit on Jimmy Fallon
“I was doing YouTube for a little bit and after I was like ‘I want to start streaming’. I was always watching Twitch growing up, shoutout to Summit,” he said.
“Summit was one of the first people on Twitch that I was watching. As I kept watching Twitch and seeing how the communities were I was like ‘I want to stream’ and in February 2021, I started streaming.”
Kai also jokingly gave credit to a mouse running across his stream in the early days that helped his popularity.

Summit1g responds to Kai Cenat’s praise
That shoutout made its way to the leader of the 1G squad before long, who couldn’t quite believe what he was hearing.
“Dude, oh my god, how crazy is this?” Summit said. “Crazy. Bro, he’s only been doing this since 2021? Wild! Wild growth rate dude, that is crazy. This is pretty f*cking sick, thank you so much for the shoutout man.”
It isn’t the first time that the pair have spoken about their mutual admiration for each other either.
Summit praised Kai and said he’d lead the next generation of Twitch streamers as he celebrated more than a decade on the Amazon-owned platform. The AMP star even invited him to link up at a UFC event so that they could hang out off-stream as well.
