Jordana Brewster just gave us all ab envy on Instagram. In a recent carousel post, she shared some life updates, and her amazing figure. Jordana included a video of herself and a friend doing ab workouts in the gym. She wore a black bikini top and pink pants, looking adorable. Jordana also posted a beach selfie of herself and her husband, where she wore a sparkly black bikini. How did Jordana Brewster get her amazing beach body? Here are 5 of her secrets.
In her Instagram video, Jordana is seen doing side crunches, which work your core muscles. Having a strong core is very important. The Mayo Clinic reports, “Core exercises train the muscles in your core to work in harmony. This leads to better balance and steadiness, also called stability. Stability is important whether you’re on the playing field or doing regular activities. In fact, most sports and other physical activities depend on stable core muscles.”
When it comes to her fitness routine, Jordana likes a lot of variety. She shared some of her go-to workouts in an interview with New Beauty. “I like interval training on the treadmill,” Jordana says. “Side shuffles, walking at a fast pace on an incline and running. I also do strength training three times a week with my trainer Harley Pasternak. I’ve also noticed the benefits and necessity of slowing down and learned Vedic meditation.”
Jordana is one of trainer, Harley Pasternaak’s celebrity clients. Like most of his clients, she follows his famous “5 Factor Diet” to help her eat healthy. “I follow the 5 Factor diet, which contains a mix of healthy fat, protein and fiber in each meal,” she said in her New Beauty interview. “I also eat every three to five hours so I’m never famished. It’s easy to stay satisfied because I’m not depriving myself of my favorite food: carbs!”
Jordana loves spending time outside. “I love the sun,” she said in a different New Beauty interview. “I’m Brazilian and a sun-worshipper. Being out in nature—preferably on the beach—makes me happy. I use Augustinus Bader products and EltaMD for my SPF. I also love Barbara Sturm serums.”
Jordana has amazing skin, and she makes sure to take care of it. She tells New Beauty that she likes using ice water on her face. “I wouldn’t say I do anything ‘out there’ for wellness—I’m pretty mainstream and I like science-backed methods. That being said, I love plunging my face into an ice-filled bowl first thing in the morning.”
