JoJo shies away from restrictive diets. “Dieting is hard for me,” she confessed to  Us Weekly. “I love food too much. … I love Mexican food and truffle mac ‘n’ cheese — anything cheesy!”

One way that JoJo ensures healthy eating is by staying in control of her food in the kitchen. “I cook more now that I’m getting older, because you can’t eat out every single day,” she told Us. “It’s easy to grill a piece of chicken and steam broccoli. I eat healthy, and then I’ll have a cheat day.”

“Growing up I played basketball and volleyball, and I ran track. Now I go to the gym a couple times a week,” JoJo told Us about her approach to exercise. “I do a lot of cardio, like the StairMaster and spin classes.”

JoJo also has a workout buddy: Her dog. “I’ll take my dog [Jackson, a German shorthaired pointer] to the park and run with him. That counts!” she told Us.

JoJo enjoys getting her sweat on outdoors. She loves horseback riding, tennis, skiing, and Hiking. “Mt Shasta… you are gorgeous mystery,” she captioned this photo of one of her expeditions. According to the National Parks Service, the physical benefits of hiking include:

  • Building stronger muscles and bones
  • Improving your sense of balance
  • Improving your heart health
  • Decreasing the risk of certain respiratory problems

In her recent post she and Jordan hit the pickleball courts. According to the Cleveland Clinic, the racquet sport helps improve heart health, enhances muscle and bone strength, increases balance and coordination, boosts brain health, and lengthens lifespan.
