Johnny Depp gifted Kate Moss her first set of diamonds by pulling them out of his butt.
Moss looked back on the memory in a new interview with British Vogue, where she explained the origins of some of her most famous fashion looks. In one such outfit Moss paired a white John Galliano dress with a diamond necklace that Depp pulled out of “the crack of his arse.”
“We were going out for dinner and he said, ‘I’ve got something in my bum, can you have a look?’ And I went, ‘What?’ And I put my hand down his trousers and I pulled out a diamond necklace,” Moss said. “That diamond necklace.” Watch the model recount the strange experience below.
Depending on where you stand regarding his contentious defamation lawsuit against Amber Heard, it may be easy to imagine Depp pulling things out of his ass. Still, Moss — who dated Depp from 1994 to 1998 — took the stand in Depp’s defense in the trial, denying rumors that he once pushed her down a flight of stairs.
Depp has stayed busy since winning his lawsuit against his ex-wife. In recent weeks, the actor has sold a series of original paintings for over $3.6 million, tapped Al Pacino to produce his first directorial project in a quarter of a century, and signed on to tour with Jeff Beck in the fall. He also appeared virtually at this year’s MTV VMAs, where he joked that he was available to appear at “birthdays, bat mitzvahs, weddings, wakes — any old thing you need.”
