JINGER Duggar has broken her family’s strict dress code on a recent ice cream outing with her youngest daughter.
The former Counting On star, 30, was all smiles when she was spotted carrying her youngest daughter, Evangeline, 3, during the mommy-daughter date.
The mother of two sported a cream v-neck sweater paired with baggy brown pants and white heels during her visit to Baskin Robbins in Los Angeles on March 20.
Her signature brown locks were styled down in loose curls.
Little Evangeline wore a flowy blue spaghetti-strapped dress with brown sandals.
Her short brown hair was parted down the middle in pigtails.
This isn’t the first time Jinger has broken her family’s dress code.
On Valentine’s Day, the former reality star’s husband, Jeremy Vuolo, 36, shared a photo of Jinger wearing tight leather pants, as she snuggled up against him.
“My Valentine,” Jeremy captioned the post.
“I love you forever. Just joking,” Jinger replied and added a kissy face emoji.
Jinger grew up in a strict home with several modesty rules, including a blueprint on how women should dress.
The Duggar family was very open about their fashion beliefs on their reality shows, including 19 Kids and Counting.
Jinger’s parents, Jim Bob, 57, and Michelle, 56, believe women should dress modestly wearing only wear dresses or long skirts. Pants are not allowed.
In January 2023, Jinger opened up about her family’s strict upbringing and how she distanced herself from her ultra-conservative parents in a tell-all memoir, Becoming Free Indeed.
She revealed that she no longer follows the Duggar family’s rules nor adheres to their religion, the Institute of Basic Life Principles.
She has also chosen to raise her daughters, Evangeline and Felicity, differently than she was raised.
The Duggar family shared more on their family’s dress code in their 2014 book Growing Up Duggar.
Per the book, “We avoid low-cut, cleavage-showing, gaping or bare-shouldered tops and, when needed, we wear an undershirt.
“We try to make it a habit to always cover the top of our shirt with our hand when we bend over. We don’t want to play the peekaboo game with our neckline.”

- Long skirts and modest dresses are preferred

In an Instagram post in January, both of Jinger’s daughters sported a pair of jeans while playing soccer with their dad, Jeremy.
The little girls wore pants again during an outing at Lake Arrowhead Village in California, about 80 miles from Los Angeles, in December 2022.
In a video clip shared to Instagram, Jinger captioned the post, “Sisters.”
Several people took to the comments after noticing the sisters wearing pants.
“Start them young no those pants love it,” wrote one person.
“Jinger, I am happy that you are studying for show yourself approved when it comes to how you grew up. I am glad that you are seeing that how you grew up is not gospel,” wrote another.
