Jeopardy!’s Mayim Bialik admits she’s ‘at the point of suffering’ after fans rip ‘unprofessional’ move upon her firing

MAYIM Bialik has opened up about her mental health after recently announcing she’s been fired from Jeopardy!

The host revealed earlier this month that she’s been let go from the beloved game show a little more than a year after she was permanently hired as a host alongside Ken Jennings.

Mayim and Ken were brought on as alternating hosts of Jeopardy! in July 2022, a couple of years after the death of longtime star, Alex Trebek.

On December 15, the actress announced she’d been fired from her place on the show and Ken would become the sole host of the program.

A few days later, Mayim opened up about “suffering” on a new episode of her Bialik Breakdown podcast.

The 48-year-old was joined by meditation teacher and author, Sharon Salzberg.

In a clip shared to both Mayim’s and the podcast’s Instagrams, the Big Bang Theory alum begged: “It shouldn’t take suffering to lead us to the point of being ready to confront things by meditating.”

She added: “Part of it is that if you are not aware of what ails you, if the response that you have is, ‘I will never try something new, f**k you stop talking to me about it, that’s for hippies,’ there may come a time in your life when you bump up against something or someone that says the way you are doesn’t work for me.”

This episode comes just after Mayim shared she was fired just ahead of the holidays.

In an Instagram post, she wrote: “As the Holiday break begins in Hollywood, I have some Jeopardy! news.

“Sony has informed me that I will no longer be hosting the syndicated version of Jeopardy!.”

She continued: “I am incredibly honored to have been nominated for a primetime Emmy for hosting this year and am deeply grateful for the opportunity to have been part of the Jeopardy! family.

“For all of you who have supported me through this journey and to the fans, contestants, writers, staff of America’s favorite quiz show, thank you.”

Jeopardy! fans have begun speculating she was let go over a controversial Instagram video she released a couple of months ago.

In October, Mayim posted, before later deleting, a pro-Israel video that saw the outspoken Jewish actress use the Hamas attacks as questions for a mock Jeopardy! round.

She played the host, and Israeli actress Noa Tishby played a contestant.

The video faced much backlash as it made the rounds on Reddit, with fans expressing anger over Mayim blending the game show with politics.
