Ken Jennings might have got more than he bargained for when talking to a recent contestant

When he spoke to Ben, he recalled the last time Ben was on the show and admitted that he went viral for holding a Twilight poster at a race his wife was running.

Ken then asked him: “What was it like talking about Twilight on national TV?”

Ben responded: “Well, um, it was great and a little scary.

“After I told that the episode aired I got a Facebook message a couple days later from someone saying: ‘Are you the Ben that was on Jeopardy!? I’m in a Twilight Facebook group and we’re looking for you.'”

As everyone laughed, Ben continued: “That was the exact phrasing, and after I got over my fear I went to the group and sure enough, there was a picture of me basically saying: ‘Who is this guy? We must find him.’

“With, like, thousands of likes and stuff like that.”

He then gave the Twilight fans in the Facebook group a special shout-out on the episode before saying: “Please don’t look for me again.”

Ben ended up coming in second place during his Second Chance game opportunity.

I LIKE IT LIKE KEN

Fans experienced a double-take as Ken showcased a flawless rapper impression on a recent episode.

During a previous broadcast, Ken channeled Cardi B with uncanny accuracy while reading a clue about the chart-topping artist.

During December 21’s Second Chance episode, a clue under “Sampling” for $1200 showed a photo of the WAP sensation.

Ken proceeded to read the accompanying question with flair: “Okurrr! This woman samples the boogaloo song ‘I Like It Like That’ on a 2018 hit.”

The correct response, “Cardi B,” came effortlessly for one of the Jeopardy! contestants.

Yet, it was Ken’s commitment to the Cardi B persona that exceeded fans’ expectations, as he delivered the “Okurrr” with a high-pitched trill.

HARD AT THE TOP

Ken didn’t hold back when he answered a fan’s question about his on-air gig during an episode of the show.

Jeopardy! producer Sarah Foss and game show champion Buzzy Cohen shared Ken’s revelation on the podcast Inside Jeopardy!

They shared a previously unaired clip from an audience Q&A session held on Jeopardy!

In the snippet, a fan asked Ken what it was like to host the game show.

“I mean Alex [Trebek] made the job look so easy that I think a lot of people assume hosting Jeopardy! Is no big deal the show kind of runs itself,” he honestly confessed.

“But that’s because he was so smooth and graceful at it, he made it look so easy. In fact, it’s kind of difficult.”

Ken revealed that the hardest part of hosting was Final Jeopardy, and he compared it to “Suduko” because he was given a cue card with all possible wagering outcomes during the last commercial break.

“I was particularly surprised by how hard [hosting] Final Jeopardy!

“Because they give me this card that has all these numbers on it.

“Here’s what she had, here’s what she wagered, if she’s right it’s this if she’s wrong it’s this, if she wins here’s what it is added to yesterday,” he explained.

“It took me a while to be like ‘ahh why are they giving me this card with the world’s worst sudoku on it? But I’ve had a few months to get used to it and I’m a little smoother at it.”

Ken will no longer have co-host Mayim Bialik, 48, take over hosting for certain episodes since she was recently fired.
