The article was originally going to be about a quote from a source who’s allegedly close to Jennifer Lopez that said she wants to show she can still “bag a hot young Hollywood man” in the wake of her divorce from actor and director.
But as I kept reading, I found a far more hilarious tidbit worth spotlighting, and that’s the “worry” her team harbors about Jennifer Lopez potentially dating comedian Pete Davidson because she might believe she can “save him.”
Davidson has famously and somewhat inexplicably dated many celebrities such as Ariana Grande, Cazzie David, Kate Beckinsale, Margaret Qualley, Kaia Gerber, Phoebe Dynevor, Kim Kardashian, Chase Sui Wonders, Madelyn Cline, and more.
“Jen wants to show the world that she can bag a hot young Hollywood man, and it’s not as if it will be too hard for her to pull off considering how gorgeous she is,” a source told Closer Weekly UK.
“She loves the idea of dating a hunk like Joe Jonas or Zac Efron, but pals think it could be a dangerous move and that she should be searching for love and security when she’s ready. But more worrying for her team is someone like Pete Davidson, as he’s been in rehab and Jen might think she could end up trying to save him.”
Davidson dating women out of his league has become such a ubiquitous idea within pop culture that it’s been turned into a meme. That meme has apparently infected the brains of J. Lo’s team to such an extent that they’re now actually worried it could happen to her.
Lopez officially filed for divorce from Affleck on August 20, just a little over two years after the pair got married in Las Vegas in July 2022. Lopez’s previous relationship with Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has also recently been brought back into the spotlight given the heinous crimes Diddy is accused of by the federal government.
