Meghan McCain, former The View host and daughter of late politician John McCain, has joined the parade of piling on Jennifer Lopez.
Speaking on a recent episode of her podcast, McCain detailed an experience that she had with Jennifer Lopez while she was working on The View, describing the 54-year-old popstar and actress as a “deeply unpleasant person” that was “not nice.
“I, too, share similar negative stories that the entire world does,” she said on an episode of Citizen McCain. “I feel bad because we’re turning a point where there’s bullying happening to J.Lo. She just is a deeply unpleasant person.”
McCain also bemoaned Lopez’s ability even to pretend to be nice, saying she had a better experience with Kim Kardashian.
“She was not nice. You don’t always have to be so nice, but it was surprising that people like Kim Kardashian couldn’t be more delightful. When you’re coming on a show for a 10-minute segment… just fake it till you make it for 10 f—— minutes.”
The 39-year-old podcaster’s shots at J. Lo come after the “Jenny from the Block” singer had to cancel the entirety of her summer tour.
While Lopez cited wanting to spend time with her family, many suspect that low ticket sales played a factor, as Lopez canceled a bevy of August-scheduled dates earlier this year due to that very reason.
Lopez is also having rumored struggles in her personal life as reports indicate that she and her husband Ben Affleck are headed for a divorce.
J. Lo has had a recent win in her acting career, however, as her Netflix film Atlas — despite poor reviews from both critics and audiences — has been one of the most-watched movies in the world since its release in late May.
Following Atlas, Lopez has two upcoming films on her docket: Unstoppable and Kiss of the Spider Woman.
