Former ESPN employee Jason Whitlock has rehashed a feud with sports personality Katie Nolan. An online argument was sparked Tuesday following a Whitlock tweet that received a ton of social media attention.
It’s continued a well-documented hatred between the pair as the duo goes back and forth yet again!
Whitlock backed himself into an undesired corner in an attempt to bash his former employer this week. He posted a photo to his X timeline showing an advertisement on the ESPN website, which he says popped up while scrolling the current NFL standings.
That ad showed a racy greeting card with a message that read, “Deep inside you is a great way to spend your birthday.”
Unfortunately, that ad appeared to be targeted, which many of his followers immediately noted in the comments section. Essentially, he’d accidentally outed his own personal online search history.
Seeing the irony in Whitlock’s post, rival Katie Nolan quickly reshared. She then added a follow-up reply that said, “Sorry to retweet him, it’s just there are tears running down my face. Happy New Year, all.”
Since, it’s been an all-out (and mostly one-sided) war.
Whitlock swung low, attacking her professionalism and character, something he’s done in the past.

Maybe an attempt to draw attention away from his accidental outing? Nolan didn’t give him that satisfaction, putting the focus back on his earlier embarrassment.
She fired back by mocking his original tweet, “The whole internet is laughing at you, and you respond to me. How is this possible? Appropriate?”

This is far from their first online interaction.
Whitlock took aim at Nolan in a 2020 column, saying her “physical beauty,” not her sports knowledge and on-air presence, helped her rise up the professional ranks.
“From bartender to seven-figure personality, Emmy Award-winner and the darling of aroused bloggers and TV critics willing to ignore her pedestrian humor and inability to execute live television.”
That, again, landed a reply from Nolan, who’s current X profile photo consists of Whitlock’s headline written about her.

“You were *this close* to making an actual point about the expectation of women to not only be good at their job, but also beautiful,” she responded.
Nolan, of course, insists that BOTH shouldn’t be job requirements for women in sports media, while noting that her professional skillset is what’s set her apart from competition.
The spat continued with Whitlock continuing his attack, calling her lazy, spoiled, and privileged. That appears to be his MO, despite his self-proclaimed Christianity.
