Jake Paul was just offered his biggest fight yet and make boxing history

Logan Paul vs Floyd Mayweather

Jake Paul has received a fight offer even bigger than his last bout against Mike Tyson and he has the chance to make boxing history if he wins.

For years now, Jake Paul, along with his brother Logan and KSI have emerged as the faces of influencer boxing, going from mere YouTubers to combat sports stars.

Jake in particular has become the highlight of this boxing subgenre, picking up big wins against UFC legends Anderson Silva, Nate Diaz and Tyron Woodley. In November, he had his biggest win yet when he bested ‘Iron’ Mike Tyson live on Netflix.

Now, ‘The Problem Child’ has a fight offer that he simply can’t refuse and it’s against someone he and his brother have a long history with: Floyd Mayweather.

Floyd Mayweather challenges Jake Paul to boxing match

Ever since Logan and Mayweather competed in an exhibition match, there have been rumors about a possible bout between the undefeated boxing GOAT and Jake.

Although the match hasn’t come to fruition, in February 2025, Floyd joined The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and claimed that beating Jake would be “too easy” even at 48-years-old.

Paul fired back, confident he would knock Mayweather out in just two rounds, and claimed that ‘Money’ refused to sign their fight contract.

However, speaking with US Weekly, Floyd claimed that it was actually Jake who wouldn’t take the fight, because it would be “physically impossible” for him to get down to 160lbs.

“We offered Jake Paul the fight probably 10 or 20 times and he turned us down,” he said, but had a simple solution to the weight issue.

“Well, we can do an exhibition. We know we can’t do a real fight because it’s not going to be sanctioned because of the weight difference. But we could do an exhibition. That’s easy work, super easy.”

Paul faced off with Mayweather in 2021.

If it happens, this fight would undoubtedly be the biggest of Jake Paul’s career. If he emerged victorious, it would leave a lasting impact on the boxing world.

Mayweather has fought fifty bouts and hasn’t lost. While an exhibition wouldn’t be on his record, he has yet to lose any exhibition match he’s had.

Jake, meanwhile, has one blemish on his otherwise perfect record, a split-decision loss to Tommy Fury. At the time of writing, the influencer is 12-1.

Only time will tell if ‘The Problem Child’ accepts Mayweather’s challenge, but if he does, he would have the opportunity to finally slay a dragon that has dominated the sport for years.
