J. Cole, 39, recently released his new album Might Delete Later, which featured a response to Kendrick on the song 7 Minute Drill.

Cole opened the song, which is the closing track on the album, by addressing the West Coast rapper’s diss.

“I got a phone call, they say that somebody dissing / You want some attention, it come with extensions,” J. Cole started.

“He still doing shows but fell off like The Simpsons / Your first s**t was classic, your last s**t was tragic / Your second s**t n****s to sleep but they gassed it.

“Your third s**t was massive and that was your prime / I was trailing right behind and I just now hit mine.”

He went on, “Now I’m front of the line with a comfortable lead / How ironic, soon as I got it, now he want somethin’ with me / Well, he caught me at the perfect time, jump up and see.”

J. Cole told Kendrick the song was just a “warning shot” and more could happen if the Money Trees rapper wanted to go there.

“He averagin’ one hard verse like every thirty months or somethin’/ If he wasn’t dissin’, then we wouldn’t be discussin’ ’em,” he rapped.

The Work Out hitmaker also said he’s ready for a face-off with Kendrick, “but push come to shove on this mic I will humble him.”

J. Cole’s 7 Minute Drill diss track is available for listening on Spotify, YouTube, and Apple Music.

The whole album, Might Delete Later, includes twelve tracks featuring guest appearances from Ari Lennox, Gucci Mane, Bas, and others.

The surprise release follows his 2021 solo album, The Off-Season.

HEATING UP

The beef between the artists started when Kendrick took aim at J. Cole and Drake for associating their success with his in their track First Person Shooter.

Kendrick Lamar SHADES Kanye West by morphing into nemesis in The Heart Part 5 music video as their bitter feud rages on

J. Cole rapped on First Person Shooter, “Love when they argue the hardest MC / Is it K-Dot? Is it Aubrey? Or me? / We the big three like we started a league.”

Kendrick then replied in his guest verse on Like That.

“Mother***r the big three, n***a, it’s just big me,” he said.

Drake, 37, has also gotten involved and subtly referenced Kendrick’s diss during his ongoing tour.

SHOOTING BACK

Kanye West, 46, has also taken aim at both Kendrick and Drake recently.

“Everyone knows I washed Kendrick on no more parties in LA,” the Vultures rapper wrote in an Instagram outburst.

“Everyone knows I washed Drake at the Free Hoover Concert,” Kanye then added.

The reference was from 2021 when Drake and Kanye co-headlined Free Larry Hoover Benefit Concert, which supposedly signified the end of the two rappers’ longtime beef.
