Shelby Church is hitting tennis balls on the Amalfi Coast – in her two-piece workout gear. In a new social media post the influencer wears a tennis crop top and matching skirt while getting her tennis game on. “This is the only one I could find that was in an incredible landscape, but also a really normal price,” she says about the gorgeous court. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.
Shelby is a skier. She recently shared photos from Wander Whitefish Mountain in Montana where she hit the slopes. Research has linked downhill skiing to a number of health benefits. In addition to promoting physical fitness, it may decrease risk of cardiovascular and metabolic diseases. Studies have also found that the more frequently a person skis, prevalence of known hypercholesterolemia, systemic hypertension, diabetes, the frequency of mental stress and the occurrence of memory deficits declines.
During her ski trip, Shelby unwound at the end of her day and gave her muscles some R&R by soaking in the hot tub. If you don’t have access to a hot tub, just take a bath. They have been linked to better sleep and even found helpful to minimize anxiety and depression. One recent study even found that they may even boast cardiovascular benefits.
Shelby is also a golfer. “add this to your Palm Springs bucket list! 🌴golf & brunch at @desertislandcountryclub this newly renovated golf course has the most fun aesthetic of any I’ve seen in the coachella valley. many golf courses have a more old school feel so it’s fun to see something new & different!” she captioned a post. A comprehensive review published in the British Journal of Sports Medicine found that golf’s health benefits are extensive, including mind, body, and even lifespan. Benefits include improved longevity, decreased risk of developing heart disease or suffering a stroke, good mental health, and improved strength and balance.
During a recent trip to Paia, Hawaii, Shelby spent a lot of time hiking. “you know it was a fun trip if your shoes are basically destroyed by the end,” she captioned a post. According to the National Parks Service, the physical benefits of hiking include:
- Building stronger muscles and bones
- Improving your sense of balance
- Improving your heart health
- Decreasing the risk of certain respiratory problems
Tennis is Shelby’s go-to workout. According to ACE Fitness it blends together cardio and aerobic exercise, as there is a lot of running around, and hand-eye coordination. “While tennis provides numerous health benefits—improved aerobic fitness and anaerobic endurance, muscular fitness (grip strength and endurance), flexibility, multiple skill parameters (balance, speed, agility and quickness), reactivity, and power—it also is psychologically demanding,” they say.
