Influencer Chase Filandro’s death confirmed by family in heartbreaking tribute to 20-year-old actor and musician


INSTAGRAM star Chase Filandro has died at age 20.

The actor’s sister remembered him as an “avid traveler” and a “shining light” in a heartbreaking tribute on Monday.

The New York City-based influencer died unexpectedly on July 31, according to People Magazine.

The influencer was known for posting about his travels on Instagram, where he had over 35,000 followers.

His sister, Franki Ford, shared the news of his death in a heartbreaking tribute on Monday.

“My brother, Chase Filandro, was a shining light who had an incredible zest for life,” Ford wrote on Instagram.

“He was loved beyond words by so many and opened his heart to everyone he encountered.”

She remembered Filandro as an “avid traveler” who loved National Parks and asked his fans to contribute to a memorial for him at one of his favorite parks.

“Once finalized, we’ll share the details so you can visit and enjoy what Chase loved doing most, knowing he is right alongside you,” Ford wrote.

The GoFundMe has raised more than $24,000 in just two days.

Filandro’s cause of death has not been revealed.

The medical examiner didn’t immediately return The U.S. Sun’s request for comment.

He lived in New York City at the time of his death, studying at New York University.

The influencer was just starting his career as an actor. He appeared in a short film and an upcoming feature film called Son of Gacy, according to his IMDB page.

He also sang in an indie band called Just Add Water.

Tributes to Filandro poured in on social media after his death.

“Rest easy Chase. God gained an incredible angel. I love you so much and am so grateful I got to call you my best friend,” his friend wrote on TikTok.

“Working with you was a privilege – not to mention the most fun I’ve had on set. Rest easy, bud,” another shared.

“Rest in paradise, thank you for being a musical inspiration,” a fan commented on his post.
