Fortunately, the mum-of-three has also shared her five-second hack to banish raccoon eyes and bring life back to your under-eyes.

Raccoon eyes refers to mascara smudging underneath the eye and creating a dark shadow, leaving you with black rings around your eye just like the bin-loving mammals.

According Lauren, it can happen for one of three reasons.

These are having oily eyelids, using products under the eyes that make your under-eyes oily or the formula of your mascara isn’t bonding with your lashes like it should.

These all cause the mascara to slide off your lashes and land on the delicate skin around your orbs.

The beauty influencer, from Idaho, US, shared her five-second routine to banish mascara-induced raccoon eyes.

But first, ensure you have cleaned around your eyes and your lashes, and applied an eyeshadow primer as “hydrated skin producers less sebum”.

Then, Lauren instructed to “tap a little setting spray onto an eyeshadow brush and apply to your lashes before mascara”.

“Apply your mascara and let it dry,” she continued.

“Then use a translucent powder and dust on the lashes to set the mascara.

“The powder must be finely milled.”

MAKE YOUR LASHES TUBE-TASTIC

Lauren added as a “bonus” point that “tubing mascara also helps set the lashes as well and can be another way to keep the mascara from smudging”.

Tubing mascara is a type of formula that creates tubes, or “sleeves”, around each individual eyelash.

Unlike traditional mascaras that coat the lashes with pigment, tubing mascaras work by forming tiny, water-resistant tubes around each lash.

These tubes are typically made from flexible polymers that adhere to the lashes.

One of the key benefits of tubing mascaras is that they are often smudge-proof and long-lasting, making them ideal for all-day wear and for those with sensitive eyes or contact lens wearers.

Additionally, tubing mascaras are usually removed with warm water and gentle pressure, rather than traditional makeup removers or cleansers.

As you apply warm water, the tubes loosen and slide off the lashes easily, without leaving behind any residue or causing damage to the lashes.

Tubing mascaras worth picking up are the £31 Hourglass Unlocked Instant Extensions Mascara, £24 Clinique Clinique High Impact Zero Gravity Mascara and £28 Tarte Tartelette Tubing Mascara.
