The creator behind the Jeep Wranglers account (@wrangler.jeeps) made a post looking into a little-known element equipped in a Jeep vehicle.

In the video, the man showed a blue open-top Jeep.

Screen text he added to the clip asked viewers: “Who knew Jeeps could do this?”

He shared a PSA with anyone who has a Jeep Wrangler.

“If you own a Jeep Wrangler or recently purchased one,” the Instagrammer started.

“And you found this mysterious piece of plastic in your jeep and you always wondered what it is.”

The guy said that owners of the vehicle may have even tried to flip the little plastic piece over to figure out what it does in the automobile.

The piece has a sticker with instructions on the back of it.

“[It has] something to do with the windshield but you don’t know exactly what it is,” the creator said while showing the instructions.

“Im about to unsolve this mystery and tell you everything you need to about this piece of plastic.”

The first thing he mentioned about it is that the piece has to do with the process of folding a Jeep Wrangler’s windshield down.

“Next, it has all to do with a few buttons on the steering wheel,” he informed.

“It’s called adaptive cruise control.”

Then the Instagrammer went on to show a camera on the inside of a windshield “that it uses for the adaptive cruise control.”

It uses that to “see how far the car is in front of you,” the car pro stated.

“Now, if you were ever to fold the windshield down or remove the windshield,” the Instagram creator started.

“You would want to protect that camera with the mysterious cover that we found like that.”

The man added an extra fact about the plastic piece.

He said that it’s the same thickness as a Jeep Wrangler’s windshield.
