Jake Paul has come a long way from his days as a Disney actor. The YouTuber is on a mission to become a bonafide boxing champion, and he’s touched gloves with a few famous names in the space over the years since his first bout in 2018.
From Anderson Silva to the great Mike Tyson, Paul is now setting his sights on Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., who held the WBC middleweight title from 2011 – 2012.
However, Chavez Jr. wasn’t his first choice of opponents. Paul was initially slated to fight Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez in a weekend bout on Cinco De Mayo, but it ended up getting canned after Alvarez took a four-fight deal with Riyadh Season.

Jake Paul and Chavez Jr.’s fight is scheduled for Saturday, June 28 at 8:00 PM PT / 11:00 PM ET. The event as a whole starts at 5:00 PM PT / 8:00 PM ET.
The bout is being held at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California, which played host to the massive YouTuber convention VidCon just a week prior.
