Multihyphenate actor-producer-director Ben Stiller, who recently praised pro tennis player Andy Murray for his support of Ukraine, is no slouch himself when it comes to keeping fit. Stiller, the star of Zoolander and the Night at the Museum movies, appeared hale and hearty while promoting his smash hit Apple TV+ series Severance at last month’s Comic-Con. Read on to see five ways Ben Stiller stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.
Stiller has done many things to get to the healthiest place possible. He and his former wife, Christine Taylor, avoided meat, which gave them energy and kept their skin amazing, she said.
Stiller eventually made avoiding meat a full-time thing, and he became vegan for a bit, giving up all animal products for a while. He moved away from that, feeling that it wasn’t the healthiest thing for him, opting instead for more of a pescatarian diet that follows Mediterranean diet guidelines.
“I got diagnosed with prostate cancer Friday, June 13th, 2014,” he said. “On Sept. 17th of that year, I got a test back telling me I was cancer free. The three months in between were a crazy roller coaster ride with which about 180,000 men a year in America can identify.”
When Stiller was married to Taylor, they varied their workouts and tried new things. That stuck with him: He still mixes up his cardio workouts and really enjoys tennis.
On vacations, Stiller indulges in water sports as part of his daily routine. Water-related activities can be great for conditioning muscles. Stiller particularly enjoys paddleboarding, which is perfect for strengthening the core.
