MOLLY-MAE and Tommy Fury have announced their split after five years together.
The sad news was announced by Molly-Mae on Instagram, as she shared an emotional statement revealing that their Love Island romance has run it’s course.
Together the couple are worth a reported £9 million and both have a few different streams of income – but how will they split it after going their separate ways?
While Molly-Mae makes some of her money through her YouTube videos, social media partnerships and fashion collaborations, Tommy is no stranger to raking in the cash either.
Molly-Mae became a millionaire at the age of 21 after bagging lucrative brand deals, and has a net worth of a staggering £6m.
She built up most of her huge fortune after she became creative director of PrettyLittleThing, in August 2021.
As a professional boxer Tommy generates income through sponsorship deals and boxing fights, as well as a career as an online influencer.
Speaking to Fabulous, brand and culture expert Nick Ede said: “Tommy and Molly-Mae’s split is really sad to see, they have always been a brilliant celebrity couple and their genuine love story captured the hearts of the nation.
“I am sure it will take a long time for them to get over the split and sort all their belongings out.
“Tommy is worth around £4 million and Molly-Mae around £8 million – they live in a £4 million pound house and will split their assets fairly I am sure with their young daughter Bambi in mind as they navigate the split.”
Molly-Mae’s fortune
The former Love Island star made some serious cash last year – despite stepping down from her Pretty Little Thing role and concentrating on motherhood.
The 25-year-old netted an incredible £3 million in profits at MMH Group Holdings, the private firm into which she channels her media earnings.
Her business – set up in 2019 – also owns her cosmetics and tanning business interests, as well as her new lifestyle brand.
Despite bills, from taxes, totalling £1.4 million, Molly could easily have banked a multi-million-pound dividend from her firm.
No sales figures are reported on Companies House for money taken through the tills by MMH or the four other firms Molly owns through it.
But its assets did climb by £700,000 between 2022 and 2023 to £2.9 million, as well as increase in profits held from £1.27 million to £1.39 million
And she is now holding £5.3 million in assets at her companies.
Molly made £1.5 million in the year after she won Love Island with Tommy Fury.
But what does the future hold for the Molly after the split?
Well according Nick Molly has absolutely nothing to worry about, at least as far as her net worth is concerned.
“Molly is one of the UKs biggest influencers and can command tens of thousands of pounds per post and she will continue to be offered lucrative deals from brands,” Nick said.
“Tommy upped his bank balance greatly when he fought Jake Paul and will continue to amass a fortune from his fights and potential brand deals he has in place.”
The lavish gifts Molly-Mae could hang on to after splitting from Tommy Fury
Over their five year romance the couple have spent a small fortune on gifts for each other.
Last year Molly-Mae showed off the £10k Chanel bag that was gifted to her for her birthday from her then boyfriend.
After the birth of their daughter, Bambi, last year, Tommy also splashed the cash on a ‘push present’ for the new mum in the form of a haul of Creme De La Mer products, including a body cream worth £220 and a renewal body oil, worth £155.
But perhaps the biggest splurge for the boxer was the stunning engagement ring, which is believed to have cost a whopping £600,000.
According to ROX co-founder Kyron Keogh, the oval-cut diamond band Tommy Fury splashed out on is worth more than half a million pounds.
Kyron told MailOnline: “Molly-Mae’s engagement ring features an exquisite oval-shaped diamond that looks like 6 carats, and it if it’s high colour and clarity, it could be worth an estimated £600k.
Although it’s unclear if Molly-Mae will keep her sparkling ring, if Tommy wants to, he might not be able to ask for it back anyway.
Tom Eastment, Solicitor Apprentice at DAS explained: “Section 3(3) of the Law Reform (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1970 specifies that an engagement ring should be regarded as an ‘absolute gift’ and, as such, belongs to the person to whom it was given.”
Not only that, but “the law takes no account of which partner calls off the engagement, so regardless of who broke off the relationship, the ring does not have to be given back.”
The couple’s home
Molly-Mae reportedly splashed a cool £3.5 million on her Ceshire mansion, and then thousands more renovating the pad to her taste.
The house is believed to have six bedrooms, a home gym, dressing room, 5,000 sq ft of land, and a spacious garden.
But despite all the time and money Molly put into creating her luxurious home, she revealed back in April that it’s “on the cards” to move anyway.
This could mean that after going their separate ways neither Molly-Mae or Tommy remain in the home.
What the future holds for Molly-Mae and Tommy Fury
Although the couple have both had incredibly successful careers so far, Nick suggested that Molly will “likely have the most successful career.”
“Once she has spent time processing how her future will shape I think she will be inundated with offers of book deals, tv shows and more,” he added.
