Hawk Tuah girl ditches Jake Paul to relaunch ‘Talk Tuah’ podcast

The Hawk Tuah girl, Haliey Welch, is set to relaunch her ‘Talk Tuah’ podcast – but this time, without the help of Jake Paul.

Haliey Welch took the internet by storm in 2024 after her ‘Hawk Tuah’ catchphrase went viral and became a mainstream sensation.

The 22-year-old Tennessean was quick to capitalize on her newfound fame, selling merch, launching a dating app, and even starting a podcast with Jake Paul’s sports betting company Betr.

Now, after months without a podcast (not counting an unaired leaked episode with FaZe Banks), Welch confirmed she’s bringing back Talk Tuah.

Haliey Welch announces Talk Tuah relaunch

As reported by Vulture, the return episode of Talk Tuah is set to debut on Tuesday, April 8.

However, this time around, Jake Paul’s Betr won’t be involved, as the two have decided to end their relationship.

“Haliey Welch and Betr Holdings, Inc. have mutually agreed to end their partnership regarding the ‘Talk Tuah’ podcast and wish each other well in their future endeavors,” the two said in a shared statement.

Haliey Welch’s Talk Tuah relaunch won’t have any involvement from Jake Paul.

Instead, Welch’s own company, ‘16 Minutes,’ will be producing the podcast. The last episode of the show released on December 3 and was titled ‘How to Avoid Getting Cancelled’ – quite ironic given what followed.

The very next day after the podcast aired, Welch launched a meme coin and was accused of rug-pulling the token to make some easy money and leave new buyers out to dry.

Welch disappeared from the internet after debuting $Hawk and getting into a heated X spaces call with noted crypto expert Coffeezilla. A few months later, an investigation by the SEC ended without any monetary sanctions against her.

“For the past few months, I’ve been cooperating with all the authorities and attorneys, and finally, that work is complete,” she told TMZ, adding that she only agreed to do the meme coin because the money was supposed to go to her charity. “It was brought up to be a positive thing.”

In addition to the relaunch of Talk Tuah, a documentary about Welch’s rise to fame is in development by the Emmy-winning production company Bungalow Media + Entertainment.
