Despite the ongoing Royal feud, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have reportedly sent their get-well wishes to King Charles III and Kate Middleton amid their health issues. It comes after multiple shocking revelations from two high-profile memoir books, one about a race row and the other about the use of the “Lilibet” name.

Princess Kate is reportedly recovering privately after major abdominal surgery while King Charles prepares for prostate surgery. A former Royal press secretary has praised Harry and Meghan for the move, saying it was “the right thing to do.”

Harry and Meghan have shown their support to King Charles and Princess Kate after the news of their health challenges became public. The King is reportedly preparing for prostate surgery while Kate is privately recovering in the hospital after having major abdominal surgery.

A source told The Mirror, “The King and the Princess of Wales have received support from Prince Harry and Meghan regarding their health. The Duke and Duchess contacted both parties in different ways to pass on their concern and best wishes.”

The messages of support between Harry and Meghan and the two Royals come amid news of the strained ties between them and the rest of the family. News reports recently claimed that Charles has privately removed Harry from acting as his substitute in situations of a Royal emergency.

A former Royal press secretary, Dick Arbiter, spoke to the news outlet about his opinion on Harry and Meghan’s message of support.

He said, “It’s good they’ve recognized his sister-in-law has gone in for what is obviously serious surgery and his father is going in to have surgery at 75. It’s the right thing to do to acknowledge it. I’m pleased for Catherine and the King.”

Arbiter further noted that it’s “unusual and unprecedented” for two senior royals to be hospitalized simultaneously. However, January would be the best time because it’s not a busy month in the Royal calendar.

Regarding a possible reconciliation between Harry and Meghan and the Royal family, Arbiter said, “Don’t hold your breath.” He added, “The Queen would always have wanted the relationship rebuilt, but she wasn’t going to see it in her lifetime. There were too many other things going on.”

The strained relationship between the couple and the Royal family worsened recently amid shocking revelations from two high-profile memoirs. A Dutch misprint of Omid Scobie’s “Endgame” memoir named Charles and Kate as the royals who commented about Prince Archie’s skin color before his birth.

Another recently released biography claimed that Harry and Meghan didn’t get permission from the late Queen Elizabeth to use her “Lilibet” nickname for their daughter. The book also alleged that the unauthorized nickname used allegedly “upset” and “infuriated” the late monarch.

News reports also claim that Harry was informed about his father’s prostate health issue through the news and not his family. Buckingham Palace reportedly had to put out an emergency public statement and tried to inform all senior Royal members, including Harry and Meghan.

However, the nature of the urgency meant it hit California news very early in the morning, which means Harry likely saw the news there first. This only adds fuel to the idea that Harry and Meghan are no longer a priority to the Royal family, even when it comes to news about health emergencies.

The news on Princess Kate’s health issue has so far remained cryptic about the exact nature of her abdominal sickness, but it’s been confirmed not to be cancer-related. She’s currently on her sixth day of hospital stay, is “doing well,” and is expected to stay at the London Clinic for another week or more.

On Thursday, William was photographed visiting Kate at her private ward after taking time off. Over the coming weeks, he’ll split most of his time between staying with their three kids and visiting Kate as she recovers. The princess’ parents, Michael and Carole Middleton, are also scheduled to visit their daughter.

Kate won’t be resuming any official Royal duties until after Easter this year, which means she’ll miss major events on her calendar. This includes the Commonwealth Day service, BAFTAs, and Easter Church service at Windsor Castle.
