Halo season one is one of those shows that didn’t strike gold initially, disappointing fans of the franchise with its offering. But if there’s a season one slump, then perhaps a sophomore surge is in the cards. Halo season two’s trailer certainly makes it look epic. And it’s teasing one of the most iconic events from the games, the fall of Reach. Adapting such a huge part of the Halo games is certainly a good way to get fan attention back on the series. But it means the Paramount+ Halo series really has to get it right. Of course, it’s too early to tell how Halo season two will fare, but its trailer certainly brings epic sci-fi space adventures to the forefront.

Let’s take a look at the trailer:

Aliens, explosions, and true heroes. All this and more are on the table in this Halo season two trailer, and we’re happy to see it. A creepy voice proclaiming itself to be death and an instrument of extinction is also pretty good and highly chilling. It definitely feels like season two will bring fans more about what they love so much about the games. And that’s all anyone can really ask of an adaptation.

With the galaxy on the brink, John embarks on a journey to find the key to humankind’s salvation, or its extinction: the Halo.
