HOLLYWOOD’S awards season kicks off tonight with the Golden Globes.
After a tumultuous few years, the 81st edition of the show is back on Sunday night in prime time.

In 2001, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, the organization responsible for handing out for the awards, came under fire after an investigation noted there were no black members among the 85 voters.
After the fallout, the H.F.P.A. was dissolved, and NBC refused to air the 2022 event.
The show was back on-air last year, but was pushed to Tuesday to make room for football.
With NBC set to air one last NFL game, Sunday’s show switched to CBS.
Now, a voting body of more than 300 entertainment journalists has chosen the winners.
Along with them come the stars, ready to walk the red carpet in eye-catching outfits.
