General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that there’s some exciting comings and goings news to pass along, especially if you were a fan of All My Children. SOD reports that Walt Willey is joining GH for a stint this July – and he’ll be reprising his old AMC role.
Willey portrayed Jackson Montgomery from 1987-2011, so he was quite a staple in Pine Valley over the years. Although Willey’s time in Port Charles will be brief, he’s sure to make quite a splash this summer.
Since Jackson was a hotshot lawyer on AMC, perhaps he’ll be needed for his legal expertise down the road.
There’s never a shortage of courtroom messes to contend with in PC, so we’ll see if Jackson might get involved in a case.
Of course, it’s possible sparks could fly between Jackson and some lovely lady on canvas, but it would be tough to compete with Erica Kane (Susan Lucci), Jackson’s longtime love on All My Children.
Besides, Jackson will only be around for a handful of episodes, so that probably won’t leave a lot of time to mix business with pleasure.
Fortunately, Jackson will at least have a chance to get involved in an exciting storyline or two while he’s around.
Walt Willey will have an opportunity to potentially cross paths with some familiar faces as well.
Many of Willey’s GH costars were also on AMC, including Finola Hughes (Anna Devane), Michael E. Knight (Martin Grey), Cameron Mathison (Drew Cain) and James Patrick Stuart (Valentin Cassadine).
Before William Moses debuted as a Jeff Webber recast, some fans had speculated and suggested Willey as a wishful casting choice for Elizabeth Baldwin’s (Rebecca Herbst) father.
That obviously didn’t pan out since the role went to Moses instead, but the show still found a place for Willey as Jackson Montgomery.
Since plenty of people still miss All My Children, Jackson’s upcoming appearances should offer a little blast from the past.
