General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Steve Burton (Jason Morgan) will be back on the air again starting March 4, so fans are growing more and more curious about how Jason will reenter the canvas.
The last time viewers saw Jason, he seemingly perished in that horrific cave-in and left his loved ones devastated.
Of course, Jason is actually alive and will be making a dramatic comeback on-screen next month.
The show’s staying hush-hush on most of the details, but Steve Burton and Bradford Anderson (Damian Spinelli) did offer a few hints on a recent episode of the Daily Drama podcast.
Anderson admitted that he knew a little bit about the story and insisted that it was “so flippin’ cool.”
Burton said he loved all the speculation surrounding his return, so Anderson agreed it was all part of the fun.
After Burton talked about fans chiming in with what they thought would happen, he shut down a popular theory about Jason’s new arc.
GH writers have been including some clues, but Burton suggested things won’t play out the way most viewers suspect.
“Stay tuned because they’ve been laying some breadcrumbs right now along the way, and I know what the majority of people think – and it ain’t that!” Burton teased with a grin.
Although Burton didn’t specify what the majority of people thought in his opinion, some popular speculation has definitely been floating around social media.
Since Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is looking for a dangerous traitor who knows exactly how his organization operates, that’s led to plenty of fans thinking Jason could be responsible due to some sort of mind control.
Is Burton dismissing that theory or referring to a different theory instead? Could Burton be trying to throw everyone off the trail or is there a completely different story brewing for Jason?
