General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Rena Sofer (Lois Cerullo) recently shared some difficult news with her fans. On Instagram, Sofer opened up about facing a tough goodbye since her favorite dog, Alfie, passed away.
Although Sofer had to bid farewell to Alfie due to cancer, she wrote a beautiful tribute and shared some pics along with a short video. Let’s look at what Sofer had revealed in her post.
“I have too much to say. But I have no words right now. It’s all just so much pain. Yesterday was the most devastating yet expected day. But it was too soon,” Sofer admitted.
Many dog owners can relate to Sofer’s experience and can confirm it’s always too soon to lose a beloved member of the family. It’s easy to see that the bond between Alfie and Sofer was strong!
“I only had my boy for 7 years and 8 days. Cancer stole him from me, from Sandy, from Avalon and from his sister Mega. From everyone who knew and loved him,” Sofer explained in her post.
If you follow Rena Sofer on social media, you know she’s a huge dog lover. Sofer often speaks out in support of fostering and adopting pups, so she’s done her fair share of fostering and adopting them, too.
Although Sofer has multiple dogs, Alfie stood above the rest of the pack. There was just something special about Alfie, so Sofer acknowledged that as she wrapped up her goodbye post.
“I love all my dogs… but without remorse…Alfie was my favorite. My heart and soul dog. I am destroyed and numb. The greatest gift we gave each other was each other. I will miss you forever and ever and ever,” Sofer said.
Of course, Sofer received support from her fans as well as many of her costars on GH and The Bold and the Beautiful, where she previously played Quinn Forrester.
Laura Wright (Carly Spencer), Kimberlin Brown (Sheila Carter on The Bold and the Beautiful), Ashley Jones (Bridget Forrester on B&B), Linsey Godfrey (Sarah Horton on Days of Our Lives, ex-Caroline on B&B) and others offered condolences in the comments.
