Fitness Influencer Linn Lowes In Workout Gear Shares Slow Exercises

Fitness influencer Linn Lowes is emphasizing the mental health aspects of exercise to her 3.4 million Instagram followers. Lowes shared a video of herself wearing red two-piece workout gear, doing a slow, controlled workout. “When the intrusive thoughts are running wild in my head, this is what I turn to. These types of movement make it difficult to focus on anything else but the actual movement—slow, controlled, and preferably in a beautiful location. Did you know physical movement can help with mental health?” she captioned the post. Here’s how Lowes stays fit, happy, and healthy.

Lowes knows it’s easier to stick to a workout routine if you actually enjoy the exercise. “I honestly believe you should do what you enjoy. There’s no must,” she told Women Fitness. “Weightlifting, cardiovascular health (cardio) and stretching will however help you live longer, age slower and be happier (endorphins). I’d love to go back into horseback riding at some point in my life.”

Lowes likes to start her day with oatmeal, fresh berries, and green juice. “I think it’s dangerous to be too strict with your diet,” she told Women Fitness. “That will only make you want what you can’t have even more. Enjoy everything in moderation. Feeling bad because you missed a workout or had dessert is the worst thing you can do to yourself. If you’re gonna treat yourself you better enjoy it – haha! Again, your mind plays a huge role in your wellbeing. Be kind to yourself.”

Lowes is careful about practicing kindness in her life. Reminder: Everyone you meet has a story. Just because you don’t know about it doesn’t mean it’s not there. We’re way too quick to judge other these days so here’s a little reminder to stay kind & patient. ❤️True strength is a multifaceted quality that extends beyond physical prowess. While muscles may showcase one aspect of strength, the essence of true power lies in the resilience to face life’s challenges head-on,” she captioned an Instagram post.

Lowes has a few favorite routines for the lower body. “LOVED THIS SESS for lower boddd 🔥 It’s definitely a must try, with or without boyfriend filming lol. You know you know.

1️⃣ Smith Step Ups 2×15/leg as warm up

2️⃣ SM Front Squats 3×12 always loved fronts

3️⃣ Hack Squats 4×12 holy glutes this one is good

4️⃣ Reverse/Frog Kicks 4×15 my absolute fave for glute isolation

5️⃣ Cable Donkey Kicks 3×12/leg (put the stability weight on your arms so you don’t just feel this is the supporting leg, huge key!)”

Lowes is a cancer survivor, which makes her appreciate her good health more than ever. “Health is always the most important aspect because without health we have nothing,” she told Women Fitness. “If you’re sick it does not matter how rich or skinny or famous you are. Believe me, I’ve been there. If you have health, you are rich. For some people weight loss is necessary to maintain health and to some a weight gain is just as important. I wish society could understand this and accept the fact that weight gain could be life changing and beautiful too.”
