THE lead singer of rock band Firehouse, CJ Snare, has died.
The musicians daughter Heather announced that her father died on Thursday afternoon.
Snare, 64, had a long battle with cancer and ultimately died from a heart attack, according to TMZ.
He had helped form the hard rock band in 1987 after his previous band, Maxx Warrior, broke up.
Snare was with the band for almost 40 years until his death.
Another co-founder and the former bassist for the group, Perry Richardson, said Snare was one of the great voices in rock history, and he will be greatly missed, according to the outlet.
