The Price is Right tends to feature some of the most enthusiastic contestants you’ll ever encounter on a game show, and the program apparently has a plan in place if anyone gets excited to the point where they pee their pants.

In 2022, The Price is Right celebrated its 50th anniversary, and the show that’s served as comfort viewing for generations of kids who stayed home sick from school has given tens of thousands of people the chance to use their knowledge of retail pricing to walk away with the many prizes it’s offered over the decades.

It’s not rare for audience members to whip themselves into a frenzy after being invited down to Contestants Row, and we’re frequently treated to some even more over-the-top celebrations if they end up winning a prize or use The Big Wheel to punch their ticket to The Showcase Showdown (to the point where Bob Barker and Drew Carey have routinely seen their patience tested while trying to maintain order).

Some people have actually ended up with some pretty serious injuries thanks to their enthusiasm, including a contestant who had to get his wife to spin the wheel for him after he dislocated his shoulder while jumping around last year.

The Price is Right has a plan in place for situations like that, and it’s apparently also prepared to jump into action if anyone befalls a slightly less serious (but infinitely more embarrassing) fate thanks to their inability to control their bladder.

During a recent interview with People, Mike Richards (who worked as a producer on The Price is Right prior to seeing his career implode after he was briefly named the host of Jeopardy!) revealed the long-running program is seemingly prepared for anything and everything that can go wrong, saying:

“When I got there, they had a system in place in case someone peed their pants

I never saw it happen, but there were curtains and a blow dryer and [a] pair of sweats just in case, since we’d have to get on with the show.”

I’m definitely assuming the worst whenever I see anyone rocking a pair of sweatpants on The Price is Right going forward.
